Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) is the final messenger of God in Islam and one of the most influential figures in human history. Born around 570 CE in Mecca, he belonged to the respected Quraysh tribe. Orphaned at a young age, he grew up known for his honesty, integrity, and strong moral character, earning the لقب “Al-Amin” (the trustworthy).
At the age of 40, Muhammad received his first revelation from Allah through the angel Gabriel while meditating in the Cave of Hira. These divine revelations continued over a period of 23 years and were later compiled into the Quran, the holy scripture of Islam.
His message centered on the belief in one God (monotheism), social justice, compassion, charity, and moral responsibility. Despite facing strong opposition and persecution from the leaders of Mecca, Muhammad continued to preach the message of Islam.
In 622 CE, he migrated from Mecca to Medina in an event known as the Hijrat, marking the beginning of the Islamic calendar. In Medina, he established a unified Muslim community and served as a spiritual, political, and social leader. He introduced principles of justice, equality, and governance that shaped Islamic civilization.
Over time, his teachings spread across the Arabian Peninsula, and by the time of his passing in 632 CE, much of the region had embraced Islam. His sayings and actions, known as the Sunnah, continue to guide Muslims in their daily lives.
Today, Prophet Muhammad is revered by over a billion Muslims worldwide as the final prophet, whose life serves as a model of faith, humility, patience, and compassion.
